In honour of the Flower Class Corvette HMS Hollyhock (Pennant Number K64) and my uncle Alfred John Wickett, 24, Stoker First Class (above).

On 9th April, 1942, Jack (as he was known), tragically lost his life serving King and Country when Japanese dive bombers attacked HMS Hollyhock during active service in the Indian Ocean. She was sunk off the coast of Ceylon (Sri Lanka), with the loss of 53 crew.
